She enjoyed traveling; cruises; winters in Yuma, Arizona; working and gardening in her yard; quilting; crafts; and reading. She died on January 18, 2012, in Roseburg. Anderson of Yuba City, California, Leonard's widow Violet Anderson of Florence, six nieces and nephews, and numerous dear friends. Alda was a generous charitable benefactor, and in order to remember her, it was her request that relatives and friends make donations to their favorite charities.
