Alfred Lawrence Dutra

Alfred "Bud" Dutra Jr. Died Aug 25th, 2010 of a massive stroke at the age of 80 yrs old. Home now with the Lord. ?@ Bud was born to Maude (Cash) & Alfred Dutra in Hyannis, Mass. He had 4 brothers & 2 sisters. Bud married Nora, the love of his life for 64 yrs. He was a veteran & served in the Air Force. They had 5 children & made the move from Cape Cod, Mass to Roseburg, OR in 1974, living in the Melrose area, where later Bud had custom built their home, beautifying the inside & out. He was employed at RFP for many yrs as a heavy-equipment operator, which he later retired from, & was one of the best! Years later they made the move to the Green area, followed by the Elmira area. Bud enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, golf, & landscaping, as well as spending time with family. He loved his children & grandchildren, & most of all, his wife. He was preceded in death by his first child, Daniel. Bud is survived by his dear wife, Nora, & 4 children: Joan Sewall, Sharon Smith, Deborah Eggers, & Jeffrey Dutra, & spouses. Their children: Marlon Sewall Jr., Nathan Sewall, Corey Sewall, Nora Schultz, Aaron Sewall, Michael Smith, Erica Oesterreich, Edward Eggers, Nicole Dutra, & Daniel Dutra, as well as, many of their spouses. Bud also has 12 surviving great-grandchildren. Although he had a stern, rough voice, he was easy-going & tenderhearted. He will be greatly missed by all. We will always love you & you will never be forgotten. A memorial service will be held by Pastor Dan Seeker to celebrate Bud's life on Saturday, September 4th, 2010 at 1:00 pm. at North Roseburg Evangelical Free Church on 1553 NE Vine St in Roseburg.
