Andreas "Andrew" Hergert, age 77 passed away peacefully on Thursday June 2, 2011 at his home in Yoncalla, Oregon. He was born in Cik'o, Hungary on September 12, 1933 to Andreas and Margaret Hergert. After, the war his family went to Germany in 1945, where he spent his apprenticeship. In 1951 Andrew immigrated to Canada and then came to America in 1956. He finally settled in Drain, Oregon in 1972, where he started Hergert's Industries. Andrew was the founder and CEO of Beaver State Plastics, which he started in 1983. He also loved to ranch, machining and travel. Andrew is preceded in death by his parent's, and his daughter Doris in 1976. Survived by his wife of 25 years Kathleen M. Hergert of Yoncalla, Oregon, daughter Pearl Hergert of Salem, Oregon, step daughters Tina Gurney of LaPine, Oregon, Sheila Greer and her husband Robert of Roseburg, Oregon, sister, Katie Hergert in Germany, brother, Paul Hergert of Huntington Beach, California, four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren four great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at the Drain Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 12:00pm at the Assembly of God Church, in Drain, Oregon. Reverend David Abercrombie will be officiating.
