PFC Avery T. Stringer was born in Roseburg, Oregon on June 10, 1994. Avery loved to be outside, going fishing, riding his motorcycle, camping or swimming. He also loved the sport of wrestling. Avery was always a generous, loving child who grew into an honorable man. He would want to be remembered as a guy with a witty sense of humor and a smile for everyone.
June 3, 2012 he graduated from Roseburg High and left June 26, 2012 for Army Basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He attended AIT at Fort Benning, Georgia and was assigned to Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Avery is survived by his father and step mother, Paul and Jodi Stringer; his mother, Tami Steele; sister, Taylor Robinson and his brother Luke Robinson and his fiancee Courtney Yokam and his brother Austin Stringer. He is also survived by his grandparents; Marvin and Enid Stringer, Jody Ahlstedt, Kathy Mitchell and Myreta Brown along with many family members and a special friend, Michelle Epps.
Visitations will be Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses, 965 W. Harvard. Funeral Service with be at the Garden Valley Church, 3047 Garden Valley Rd. at 11 AM, Monday April 22, 2013 with interment to follow at Roseburg Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
