Barbara Sue Ingersoll

BARBARA S. INGERSOLL, 79, passed away at her home in Roseburg, Oregon on May 13, 2015. She was born February 20, 1936 in Smith County, Texas to Coy Leeon Birdsong and Modie Bell Bostick. She graduated from Del Norte High School in Crescent City, California in 1953. Barbara enjoyed spending her time playing golf, water skiing, camping, gardening, sewing and bowling; among many other activities. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Faye. She is survived by her son Mark and his wife, Brenda Miller; Sister Dora and her husband Lealand Rilea; and her sister Phyllis and her husband Mark Leaming; her brother Talmadge and his wife Rosalie Birdsong and Glen and his wife Linda Birdsong; grandchildren Sonya Marie Black, Deon Black and David Charles Miller; and great-grandchild Aidan Michael Black as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Teresa, Kathy, Olivia, Michelle, Jennifer, Velma and Luz of Advantage Home Care for their kindness and caring. Also thanks to the Hospice team of Douglas County and the staff at Riverbend Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses.
