Ben Raleigh

Ben Raleigh, 84 of Sutherlin passed away on August 11, 2015. He and his wife, Shirley, moved to Sutherlin from Ventura California 16 years ago. He was born on May 28, 1931 to Herman and Gladys (Doty) Raleigh in Amarillo, Texas. Ben worked as a Costumer Service Agent for the home construction industry and enjoyed word puzzles, crafts and being a Jack of all trades. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Sanford) Raleigh of 29 ½ years, two daughters Robbin Merrill (Al) and Darleen Raleigh, Also surviving Ben are his grand children, Josuha, Zachary, Lucas Merrill, Laural Kloburkoski, Andra Cooper and three great grandchildren, Gabrella and Mason Klobukoski and Paige Merrill along with nieces Lisa Phillips and Marsha LaVerne and numerous friends. Preceding him in death is his parents and a sister Beverly Griggs.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at at 3:30 pm at Sutherlin Chapel of the Roses with Pastor Bob Johnston officiating, Memorials my be given to the family. A special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for the care they provided Ben
