Betty Iris Whitman

Age 83 of Roseburg, Oregon passed away on December 12, 2013. Betty was born on June 16, 1930 in McMinnville, Oregon to Frank and Faye Schwab. She attended Willamina High School. Betty worked as a cook for many years including two summers at Camp Tyee and two summers at Lucas Lodge in Agnes, Oregon, the Del Ray Cafe, Baptista's Silver Nook, and the Roseburg Downtowner. She enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles, and traveling to the coast. Betty is survived by her daughter Connie Whitman; sons Roy Jones and Daniel Whitman; stepdaughter Jeanie and her husband Chuck stepson Tom and his wife Jackie Jones; brother, Lloyd Schwab. Eight grandchildren Janice Randall, Chad Jones, Miranda Jones, Cory Whitman, Mislayla Whitman -Niebaum, Jamie Jones, Ryan Jones, Quinton and Grace Jones. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; Dominic Randall, Ian, Caitlyn, and Cara Jones; Brawley and Landon Jones; Michael Herandez, Max Jones and Kaedyn Lowee. In additional nieces and nephews; Louise, Rena and Jeff Schwab, Ricky, Kyle, Jeff Kristie and Shadryn Schwab. Special friends Lily Litsel, Harry & Barb Buckwalter. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Donald Schwab.
