Beula P. Myers

BEULA PEACE MYERS 91, of Oakland, Oregon passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at her home. She was born November 11, 1919 in North Hampton, Ohio to Thurman and Maye Heck. Beula graduated from North Hampton High School. Mrs. Myers was a Sunday School Teacher who especially enjoyed the babies and little ones at Crestview Baptist Church in Claremont, California. Beula moved from Pamona, California to Oakland, Oregon in 2005. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, Oregon and Crestview Baptist Church, Claremont, California. She took pleasure participating in the church choir. Beula was an advisor for 4 H in sewing, cooking and gardening along with being a beautician. Survivors include her 2 daughters and sons in law Jeannine and Geoffrey Hazelton and Saundra and Ronald Sutherland; sisters Leila Zerklin of Ohio and Naomi Duff of Florida; brothers Howard Heck and Marvin Heck of Ohio and Warren Heck of Arizona; grandchildren Tami MacDowell of Norfolk, Virginia, Debbie White and Bryan Myers of Ohio, Mike Norris of California, David Brown of Washington and Dennis Brown of California; great grandchildren Crystal Todd of Colorado , Teri Stiles of Florida, Michael J. MacDowell of Washington, Robbie and Sheena MacDowell of Ohio, Erin Brown, Ethan and Mia Brown of Washington, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Dylan and Caden Norris of California, numerous nieces and nephews and her church families. Beula is preceded in death by her husband, James in 1975; parents; sister Belva Myers, brother Lee Heck and a son, Keith Myers. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 1:00 pm within the Bellevue Cemetery in Ontario, California. Pastor Ronnie Hall of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, Oregon will officiate.
