Beverly Jean Beal passed away on Sept 22. The lovely wife of Ralph Beal for 57 years, Beverly is survived by her sons, Doug and Todd, her brothers David and Ken Adams, and many nieces and nephews who adored "Aunt Bev." She was born in Monroe, WA, and grew up in Reedsport and Elkton, where she enjoyed swimming, cheerleading, horseback riding and volleyball. She graduated in 1958 and attended Pacific Business College in Portland. She married her high school sweetheart, Ralph, on Aug 22, 1959. Together they owned and operated the Roseburg and Winston Dairy Queens, and had such success that they were able to retire early, travel the west coast and winter in Arizona together. She grew up in a family of motor enthusiasts, and enjoyed her sports cars and motorcycles, but was also known for her beautiful artistic crafts and her efforts in the community as a chaplain in the Women of the Moose, Lodge 1057. A memorial service and celebration of Beverly's life will be held at Wilson's Chapel of Roses in Roseburg, on Saturday Oct 1st.at 2 PM.
