Bobby Richard "Bob" Tingle

Bobby R. Tingle, age 78, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away on January 21, 2013. He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in May of 1934 to Columbus and Willie Lee Tingle. Bob was the 8th of 10 children and attended school in Hattiesburg. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was in combat in Korea. Before moving to Roseburg where he and Beverly met, Bob previously lived in Mississippi, Arkansas, and California. He worked at Montgomery Wards in automotive sales for 30 plus years, and later worked in general maintenance for a Motel. Bob was really gifted in fixing things, and enjoyed helping others. He volunteered his time for the VA for several years. Bob loved to hunt and fish, he loved to garden and to grow things, he really enjoyed playing pool and poker with friends and being with his family. Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years Beverly, his daughters Pamela (Steve) Pearce, Melissa Tingle, his son Richard (Lori) Tingle, his stepdaughter, Kathy Hunt - Floyd and his stepson, Gary Jurgensen. He is also survived by his sisters Myrtie, and Betty and his brothers, William "Bill" (Patricia) and Elton (Dolores) Tingle. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends, especially Jo and Doug Holloway, and Darrell Estes. Bob is predeceased by his parents, his sisters, Jonalu and Lillian, and his brothers James, Charles, and Roy. Private cremation rites have been held for Bob.
