Carol Joan (Kerr) Josse, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away at her home on Monday November 22, 2010. Carol was born to parents Oma Verdena (Beckley) Kerr and Thomas Franklin Kerr, February 24, 1917, in Marshfield, Oregon. Carol was proud of her pioneer heritage and as a daughter of Douglas County, lived nearly all of her life at the family home on Douglas Street where the early years of the Douglas County Fair was held. Carol graduated from Roseburg High School and continued her education at University of Oregon where she was active in Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Following college, Carol moved to New York to model and work in radio; returning to Roseburg to work as Traffic Manager and Publicity Director for KRNR Radio where she also shared her musical talents by singing for the station when the occasion required. Carol married Jack Barker Josse in 1965 who preceded her in death in February, 2010. Carol was also preceded in death by her parents: Oma and Thomas Kerr, her sister Helen Jane (Kerr) Sherlock. She is survived by Long Time Friends: Karla Morrow, and Gordon Singleton of Roseburg, Oregon. Private Internment will rejoin Carol with her family at Roseburg Memorial Gardens. There will be no public Memorial Services. Wilson's Chapel of the Roses is in charge of the arrangements.
