Carole May Jones

Carole May Jones, of Canyonville, passed away May 4, 2016 in her home. Carole was born December 16, 1949 in Corvallis, OR to Clarence Leland and Melva May Wilson. Carole attended Glide High School. At the age of 20, she married Archie Lynn Jones. They enjoyed going fishing and hunting together. Carole also enjoyed gardening, reading and rock hunting. She was predeceased by her parents; her stepmother, Dorlas, stepfather Robert Hink; and her grandparents, Grace and Clarence Wilson and Melvin and Sarah Eakin. Carole is survived by her husband of 46 years, Archie; daughters Tammy (Tom) Steiner and Lori (Jason) Exceen; sisters Linda Taggart, Katie (Dennis) Treadwell and Michelle (Marvin) Champion; brother Richard Branton; grandchildren Shevani, Taylor and Madalyn; great-grandchildren Jayden and Scarlett; and nephew Kevin (Amy) Taggart; cousins, Trixie and Terrie; as well as other relatives and numerous close personal friends. A graveside service will be held at Wimberly Cemetery on May 12, 2016 at 2 p.m.
