Carroll 'Stan' Cornutt was born in Woodland, Washington in 1931 to Dellis and Margaret Cornutt. When Stan was 15, the Cornutt family moved to Roseburg where Stan's father Del went to work for Roseburg Lumber. In 1949, Stan graduated from Roseburg High School and went on to attend one year at Oregon State University. The following year, Stan went to work for Roseburg Lumber at the log pond and was quickly promoted to work in the woods, which he dearly loved and enjoyed for the next 20 years. After this long stint laboring and loving working in the woods he went back to Roseburg Forest Products log yard building log decks for the following 23 years. Stan was a very hard working and respected individual throughout his whole professional career and was one of the longest standing employees of Roseburg Forest Products at his time. In 1950, Stan married Joan Blosser to which he reared four children. They were married for nearly 13 years. In 1963, Stan married Vi Aquiso. Stan and Vi were married for 48 1/2 years and together raised a blended family with six children. Stan is survived by his wife Vi and his (six) children : Terry and Jan Cornutt, Arden and Dennis Murphy, Mike and Jackie Cornutt, Chris and Cindy Aquiso, Kelly and Ken Dow, and Sharon and Doug Goodman; (nine) grandsons and (four) granddaughters, and (13) great-grandchildren. Stan was preceded in death by his parents Dellis and Margaret, sister Pat, grandson Patrick Murphy, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Stan was a loving husband, father and grandpa who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, woodworking and singing in the St. Paul Lutheran Church fellowship choir. He was loved by many for his infectious laugh, long winded storytelling, willingness to help others and overall big heart. The family would like to thank Chantelles Loving Touch Memory Care. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Roseburg High School Class of 1949 Scholarship fund, St. Paul's Lutheran Church or a charity of choice.
