Charlotte "Lottie" Ziegler

CHARLOTTE "Lottie" ZIEGLER, age 83, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away on October 21, 2015. She was born on November 27, 1931 in Hindenburg, Germany to Konrad and Martha Ruhland. Lottie was a cook for the Roseburg School District for 15 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and attending luncheons and activities with her friends. She also enjoyed going for walks and dancing; but what she loved most was spending time with her family. Lottie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Nickodemus. She is survived by her daughters; Barbara Ziegler, Marlies Maze (Michael Koch), Veronica Ziegler (Jens) Benthien; son, Stephen (Maria Paz) Ziegler; brother, Rudi Ruhland; grandchildren Joseph (Ashley) Ziegler, Thomas Ziegler, Mary Elizabeth Ziegler, Kailey Maze, Christopher Maze, and Mattison Ziegler-Holman. The family would like to thank Umpqua Valley Nursing and Rehab for their compassionate care and a special thanks to Ingrid Westergaard for her unconditional love and friendship. Lottie was a blessing to family, friends and anyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed yet never forgotten. There will be a viewing at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 12:10 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
