Daisy M. Holtsclaw

Age 83, of Roseburg, OR, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013. She was born on February 1, 1930, in Bassett NE, to Willis and Mary Lane. Daisy moved with family from Nebraska to Roseburg in her late teens and lived in the area until 1988. Daisy married Gordon Armstrong in 1951. Gordon passed away in 1986. Through those years she worked as a clerk at the Dillard Store, Consumer Warehouse and the Log Cabin Grocery. Daisy married William Holtsclaw in 1988 and lived in the Salem area until his passing. She then moved back to Roseburg to spend the rest of her days close to family. For 30 years, Daisy enjoyed the warm winters in Yuma, AZ. She is survived by her son, Alan (Sherry) Armstrong; daughter, Juanita Armstrong; sisters: Violet Ohman, of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren: Tammy Yann (Don); Lisa Kerruish (Mike Sperling); great-grandchildren: Jeremy Elye (Beth); Jason Kerruish (Alyssa); Joshua Elye; and Jordan Kerruish; great-great-grandchild, Allie Kerruish. Daisy is preceded in death by her mother, father and sister, Rose Coder. The family would like to thank the staff at Umpqua Valley Care Center for the excellent care given Daisy in her last days. Funeral services will be held at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 3:00pm
