Dale E. Beckham, 83 of Roseburg, Oregon passed away on Thursday February 18, 2010. He was born on March 22, 1926 in Willow Springs, Missouri to Edward and Mary (Alderson) Beckham. Dale served his country in the US Army where he was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Dale had been a resident of Douglas County for more than 50 years. He worked for Evans plywood, the post office, and finally retiring from BLM as an appraiser. Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church. He loved his family, and watched every practice and football game that David played in, and watched the grandkids playing baseball. Dale was an excellent fisherman, fishing on the South and main Umpqua rivers to Hi Hume lake in British Columbia. He is precede in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Beckham, and a son Alan Dale Beckham. Dale is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Beckham, daughter, Peggy Ferrel, son; David Beckham and his wife Linda, grandchildren, Mike, Jeff, Elizabeth, Jessica, great grandchildren; Anthony, Byron, Cayden, Maliesha, Shilynn, Tanner, Willow, and Payton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday March 5, 2010 at the Green Community Church, followed by a graveside committal with in the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Wilson's Chapel of the Roses is in charge of the arrangements.
