Saturday, September 8, 2018, Daniel Delmar Edmonds, devoted husband and father passed away at age 73.
Dan was born on October 8, 1944 in Nehawka, Nebraska, to Gilbert and Elsie (Edmison) Edmonds. He graduated high school in Hemet, California. After Dan joined the US Army, he served his country in Vietnam. He worked as a welder for Union Pacific Railroad and then was a truck driver for more the 30 years. Dan loved his family, friends, and the Nebraska Huskers!
Dan is survived by his wife Julie Edmonds, children Bob Edmonds, Lawauna Wix, and Media Pierce, and 10 grandchildren, Daniel Edmonds, Tara Emerson, Travis Edmonds, Deidre White, Chris Worland, Johnny Purzycki, Rachel Schweitzer, Larissa May, Aleta Peirce, and Spencer Pierce.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Elsie Edmonds and his daughter Lorena Edmonds.
In Lieu of flowers, his family encourages contributions in Dan’s memory be sent to: Vietnam Veterans of America, 4601 Carnes Rd, Suite 80, Roseburg, Oregon.
