David Allen Hoffas

DAVID A. HOFFAS, of Sutherlin, was born December 31, 1933 in Racine, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee January 23, 1958 with a Bachelor of Science psychology major and made his way to Southern California and a career in the insurance industry, including many years in risk management at Universal Studios. In the early 1980s he and his family relocated to Douglas County, eventually retiring in Sutherlin.
In 1965, David met and married his wife Carol. She was a widow with three young sons, Charles, David and Mark. Together, they had two more children, Peter and Jeanine. He is survived by Carol and all five of their children.
David died on Sunday, September 6th, shortly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In the midst of their loss, the family is blessed and grateful that just a few weeks ago, they were all together for a joyful reunion.
A memorial service for David will be held September 26, 2015 at 2pm at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Sutherlin.
