It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Devon James Ross, 44, announces his unexpected passing on December 30, 2019.
Devon was born on August 13, 1975, in Salem, Oregon to Peter and Jacqueline (Overton) Ross. He was preceded in death by his mother and is survived by his father, his daughter Haley, his brother Shawn, and his niece Vivienne. Devon will also be forever remembered by his extended family and numerous friends.
Devon graduated from Western Business College in Portland. He worked many years in hotels throughout Oregon and California, most recently at the Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville, Oregon. He was an avid sports fan. One of the biggest highlights in his life was to watch his beloved Oregon Ducks win the Rose Bowl in Pasadena in 2012. He had a great passion for music and movies. He could name the singer after just hearing the first few notes of a song. He loved engaging in political discussions with anyone.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled on January 19, 2020 at the Valley River Inn in Eugene, Oregon, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. A memorial service is being planned in the Woodburn area at a later date.
