Donald Gene "Don" Frerichs

DONALD GENE FRERICHS, 51, was born in Ritzville, WA on Dec. 8, 1964. He was raised in Sprague, WA by Leanard and Vera (dec.) Frerichs. He graduated from Sprague High School, earned his BA in Criminology with a Minor in English from Eastern Washington University. Don attended the Oregon State Police Academy and graduated in November, 1988. He worked at the Oregon State office in Newport, OR, where he met and married Alice Lewis in November, 1990. Together they raised two daughters, Kimberly (Brad Stone) and Rachel (dec) (Abe Rentz). Don transferred to the OSP Roseburg office Game Division in 1995. Don is survived by his father, Leanard; Brothers, Duane (Rosanna) and Ted (Lucinda) Lieder; Sisters, Vickie (Keith Thompson) and Connie (Paul Fuchs); Genine Lieder, Elizabeth Lewis and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the fairgrounds in Douglas Hall on March 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Roseburg Seventh Day Adventist Better Living Center following interment at Melrose Cemetery.
