Donnie G. Moore

January 1, 1954 — September 13, 2013

Donnie left this earth peacefully at his home with his family at his side on September 13, 2013. He was born January 1, 1954 to Donald Collins and Mary (Cook) Collins. He was known for his contagious smile, warm heart, strength and compassion. He moved to Sutherlin in 1978 with his wife Dara, to raise their two daughters Cayce and Cori.

Don was a Marine Corp. Vietnam Combat Vet, Police Chief, City Manager and Mill worker. He was an avid bass fisherman, hunter and took part in Lions, Masons, Shriners, Rotary, Roseburg Optimist, member of NRA, Sutherlin Chamber of Commerce, Ducks Unlimited, Roseburg Rod and Gun Club.

He touched so many lives, but not as much as his wife Dara of 40 years, his daughter Cayce (Pete) Meagher and their 2 daughters, Ashley and Kylie; his daughter Cori (Cameron) Yarbrough and their children, Brittney, Bradley, Kaigan, Alexandra and Darrian; his three sisters: Peggy, Chris (Ricky), Roxie (Chad) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Mary Moore, his father Donald Collins and brother John Collins.
