Doris I Rambeck-Jenkins

April 12, 1925 — August 28, 2013

Age 88, of Myrtle Creek, OR, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at her home. Doris was born April 12, 1925, on the farm, in Reynolds, North Dakota, (Easter Sunday everyone was in church and grain was 8 inches high). Parents: Clyde Raymond and Helga Olava (Mathiason) Holliday. Doris graduated in 1942 from Central High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Doris worked as a telephone operator in Grand Forks, ND. She married Allen Delyle Rambeck, Oct. 28, 1945. And they moved to Myrtle Creek, OR, in 1952. Allen died March 7, 1966. Doris married Millus Alton Jenkins on June 19, 1969 Millus passed away September 2002. She worked as telephone operator in Myrtle Creek, OR, also motel work and fire watching security guard all over Douglas County, OR.

Doris is survived by her four children: Phyllis Rambeck-Frazier; Cheryl Jean (Jerry) Redenius; Joyce (Rodney) Boqua; Lyle Allen (Debbie) Rambeck; and two step daughters Rosie and Kathy. Also surviving her are two brother-in-laws: Jay (Marion) Rambeck, Brookings, OR; Vincent Rambeck, Hensel, North Dakota; sister-in-law, Donna Kraulik-Brevik, Stevens, Minnesota. Doris also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Donna Jean (Stanton) Rambeck; (two sisters married Rambeck cousins) Heritage, Pennsylvania; Lois Julson - Brett, Waite Park, Minnesota; 12 nieces; 11 nephews; numerous cousins.

She in preceded in death by her two husbands: Allen Rambeck and Millus Jenkins along with a granddaughter, Joy Justina Rambeck; and a step-son, Dale Jenkins.

Thanks to Dr. O'Reilly, staff Bobbi, Dr. Rickman, and Dr. Duvol for the care and love you gave Doris. Also to her caregivers through the years: Melody; Yvonne; Lynsey; Kath; Enedina; Shelia; Shelby; and Tonya.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at 11 AM at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses with private family interment at Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Reverend Betty Bazzell will officiate. Reception to follow service at the Fellowship at Garden Valley Church, South Campus, 825 S Main St, Myrtle Creek, OR.
