Bayer, Dorothy Mae, 102, of Woodburn and formally of Roseburg passed away on May 9, 2010 in Woodburn, Oregon. Dorothy was born December 17, 1907 in Martinsville, Indiana to Tex and May Breedlove. In 1932 she married Joe Queen and they had one child, Norman Queen. Joe passed away in 1955. In 1959 she remarried to Kenneth Bayer of Kent, Washington. They later moved to Woodburn where Dorothy was active in the Senior Estates Organ Club and the Music Makers Organ Club. Kenneth passed away in 1993. In 1994, Dorothy's son, Norman passed away after a two year battle with cancer. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Shirley Henry of Bend, Oregon; her daughter in law, Virginia Queen of Salem, Oregon; two grandsons Gregory Queen of Salem; Stanley Queen of Saratogo, California and four great grandchildren. By her second marriage to Kenneth Bayer she is survived by 3 of her 4 step-children,Theodore Bayer, LeRoy Bayer both of Kent, Washington and Linda McLeod of Tukwila, Wa and fifteen step-grandchildren A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, June 19 2010 from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm at Country Meadows Retirement Home, 155 S. Evergreen, Woodburn 503.982.2221. Entomb has taken place under the directions of Wilson's Chapel of the Roses.
