Dorothy Emma Sproul

Dorothy Emma Sproul, 97, of Sutherlin, Oregon died on Sunday May 13, 2012 in Roseburg, Oregon. Dorothy was born May 3, 1915 in Concordia, Kansas to Fredrick Pete Longtin and Georgianna Duval. Her mother died when she was young, so she went to live with her grandmother Longtin until her dad remarried. Her life changed when she met her sweetheart Clyde Ernest Sproul and they were married 71 years until his death in January 2006. She enjoyed working hard and had an abundance of energy which was needed for raising her 3 boys. Dorothy loved children and found much joy in being around all her grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by two children, Gerald Sproul of Medford and Gary Sproul of Sutherlin. Her second son, Donald, passed away in December 1996. She has nine grandchildren,19 great-grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Monday May 21 at 1 p.m. at Roseburg Memorial Garden's.
