Dustin Charles Conopa

Dustin Charles Conopa passed away May 23, 2015 in Roseburg, Oregon. Dustin, Dusty Chuck as his daddy called him, was born June 7, 1998 in South Lake Tahoe, California to Daniel and Lonni Conopa. He lived in Florence, Shady Cove, and Eagle Point, Oregon before moving to Roseburg in 2008. He was a junior at Roseburg High School and worked at the YMCA as a dance instructor and gym attendant.
Dustin belonged to the YMCA, Kathryn Howard School of Dance, and Campus Life Youth for Christ. He loved to bodybuild with his brother Nick, who called him "D", at the YMCA. He was passionate about dancing and acting and loved to sing with the 3 D Choir at Roseburg High School. He was also very involved in the Campus Life Youth for Christ Group.
Dustin is survived by his parents Daniel and Lonni Conopa, sister Mary-Kate Conopa of Ashland, Oregon; brother Nicholas Conopa of Roseburg, Oregon; grandparents Cliff and Kay Bell of Placerville, California and Ronald and Judith Conopa of Shady Cove, Oregon; uncles and aunts Ralph and Suzanne Sartain, Thomas Bell, Robby and Jami Conopa, and Shelly Conopa; cousins Mikayla Sartain, Elijah Sartain, Laura Bell, AJ Conopa, Jordan Conopa, and Kelli Conopa.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 3:30 pm at Wellspring Bible Fellowship with Campus Life Leader Sam Rodriquez officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Dustin's name to the Dive and Canine and SAR Team at 1036 Douglas Ave, Roseburg, Oregon 97470. The family would like to give special thanks to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, Douglas County Search and Rescue Dive and Canine Team, and Fire District #2.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Conference Hall to honor both Dustin and Froylan on June 6, 2015 at 3:00pm. Please wear Superhero t-shirts and/or bow ties in memory of Dustin and Froylan. Please bring a canned food item which will be donated to the food bank in their memory.
