Monday, October 20, Eddie M. Staggs passed away, leaving many loved ones behind. His sudden death has been a shock to everyone. He was a dear, sweet man who made friends with everyone he met. Eddie was born January 31, 1960 in Salem, OR but considered Myrtle Creek his childhood home. He loved the outdoors, working hard, tinkering in the garage, and never met a dog he didn't stop to pet. He was well-known as Roseburg's biggest Steeler fan. He started working at Umpqua Lumber in 1991 and was crushed when it closed, as he loved working in the mill. Eddie was the quiet strength of the family. He dearly loved his wife, Nicole and three children Solomon, Alistar, and T'Leah. He was so very proud of his children and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie in 1977, his sister Peggy in 1994, and most recently his mother Helen Staggs on October 11, 2014. Survivors include his wife of 23 years Nicole Staggs, son Solomon Staggs and daughters Alistar Plum and T'Leah Staggs; his siblings Cheryl, Mary, Tracy, and Tim as well as numerous extended family members.
Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 10 a.m., at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses with service officiated by Pastor Tim Mayne.
Lunch will be provided after the service at the Better Living Center next to the Seventh-day Adventist church located at 1109 NW Garden Valley Blvd. Please visit Eddie's web site at
