Edith "Edie" Ruzzamenti

Edith (Edie) Ruzzamenti of Sutherlin, Oregon passed on September 9, 2016 at the age of 91. Born in Denmark, she moved as a youth to the United States to California. In 1945 she married Louie Ruzzamenti and they had three children Dan, Ron, and Diane and three grandchildren Michelle, Emily, and Gale. Louie, Edie, and Diane moved to Sutherlin, OR in 1971. Edie was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2015, she eventually ended up at Applegate Assisted Living for 5 years. She made many friends, all who adored her sweet, gentle spirit. She loved cooking, gardening, flowers, fishing, and country drives with her husband. With all her suffering due to Parkinson's, she always had a smile for others, and hardly ever complained, always putting others' welfare before her own. She was so very sweet and courageous, an amazing woman to the very end. She was loved by many and will be missed. Forever in our hearts, a lesson for us to love unconditionally, to not take the simple things for granted. Rest in peace, Mom, there's a great reward for you in Heaven. Our heartfelt thanks to you for God blessing us with a rare gem such as you. Private family services will be held at Valley View Cemetery.
