Also known as Betty, of Roseburg, Oregon, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the age of 87. She was born on April 23, 1929, in Pueblo, Colorado, the only child of Ruby and Stacy Parker.
Betty came to Oregon as a young child, living most of her life in Douglas County.
She married Edger Jones if Oakland, and together they had eight children. She later married Peter Brown in Roseburg, and was together for 40 years.
She loved going dancing, making crafts, traveling, her pets, flowers, and Chinese food.
She often gave clothing to people in need.
Betty is survived by her four sons, Lester Jones and wife Joan, of Prineville, Calvin Jones of Ontario, and Terry Jones and Tim Jones of Portland; three daughters Linda Fritsche of Vancouver, WA, Mary Russell and husband Wayne of Coos Bay, and Gloria Gilbert and husband Bill of Myrtle Creek; also 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
No services will be held at this time. A private family gathering in her memory will be held later.
