Enid passed away at the ripe old age of 84. She was the loving and beloved wife (of 66 years) of Owen Dykema. They were born and raised in a little suburb of Chicago called Villa Park. They were simultaneous students of at least the the local high school.
Over those 66 years Enid created two daughters. Chris had one daughter, Enid Leyva, of Arizona. Erin and her husband Todd have a son, Macquire, and a daughter Eleanor. Gail and Dale Hanson, her husband of 33 years, have two boys, Quentin and Miles, both of Roseburg. So over the years, Enid brought seven good people into this world.
She also bore a son, Neal, born with a rare birth defect defect called Maffucci's Syndome. She struggled massively over the years with that physical problem until he died, at the early age of 20.
Early on Enid was a true Navy wife. Later, while her kids were in school, she was a true "stay at home" housewife and mother, working as a member of both school boards and PTAs. "you're ALWAYS there." the kids would say. After all her kids were "gone" she even went out and earned "her own income", in the tax business.
All of her family will greatly miss her.
