Eric Hanson, age 23, born June 1, 1994 in Springfield, Oregon, and passed away December 21, 2017 at Riverbend Hospital, Springfield, OR, from medical complications following bowel surgery.
Eric graduated from Oakland High school in 2012. He had volunteered at the VA Hospital in Roseburg on and off for several years.
Eric loved acting and entertaining. He had participated in the Oakland Melodrama for years. Eric was very talented with voice impersonations and was very good at making people laugh. He loved music; he played the guitar and had a wonderful deep singing voice. Eric’s dog Matilda was his constant companion. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents Glen and Grace Hanson, Ken and Becky Johnson, Richard’s Sister Jeanne and Joys Brother Ray.
Eric is survived by his parents Richard and Joy Hanson of Sutherlin, Oregon his half siblings Micayla, Trenton, Bella, and their mom Valorie. He is also survived by many relatives around the World including, Alaska, Florida Nevada, Montana, Oregon, Australia, Brasil and The Netherlands.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday February 24, 2018, at 3:00pm, at The Oakland Church of Christ.
