Evelyn Irene Good was born on July 6, 1921 in St. Clair, Pennsylvania. She was the second child of John and Jennie Russell. Her long wish to join her husband in Heaven was granted peacefully on August 11, 2010. She married Merle Henry Good in 1940 and they had two children; Eileen Paul, married to Roger Paul in Roseburg, OR and Bruce Good, married to Marlene Rentschler in Bernville, Pa. Ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren make up their family. Evelyn has two surviving brothers; Erroll Russell and John (Jack) Russell who are both cared for at the Orwigsburg Manor in Orwigsburg, Pa.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Merle in 2006. Since that time she has been cared for by the loving staff at the Agape Compassion House on Currie Road in Roseburg, OR. She was comforted during her passing by her daughter Eileen and caring staff members. Merle and Evelyn were active members of the Church of the Rise since their arrival in Roseburg in 1960. No public services will be held at this time but a private memorial will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, present your gift in memory of Evelyn to the Agape Compassion house, 1141 Currie Road, Roseburg, OR 97471 where we will be choosing to complete needed projects in Evelyn's memory.
