Fern M. Reeves

FERN M. REEVES took her Savior's hand and left this world on April 27, 2010 at the age of 78. She was born September 22, 1931 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to William and Juanita (Rich) Bateman. Fern was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She started and was active in the family business, Bias Plywood Sales since 1964. Fern has a great sense of humor and enjoyed working with the customers. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Fern enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends in Oklahoma, celebrating the holidays and entertaining family and friends. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed. Survivors include her devoted and loving husband Lester Reeves; children Roger Bias, Sharon Beamer, Frank Reeves, Steve Reeves; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; brothers William "Buck" Bateman of Oklahoma City, Don Bateman of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Wayne Bateman of Westville, Oklahoma. Fern was preceded in death by her daughter Jean Schroeder. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Roseburg Church of God, where Fern attended. Pastor Doyle Pooler will officiate. Private interment will be held in the Melrose Cemetery.
