Florence B Godard

Age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, in Roseburg, OR. She was born on June 27, 1928, in Yelm, Washington. She was the fifth of seven children to Roy and Elva Beers. At a young age her family moved to Ashland, Oregon, and eventually to Cottage Grove, Oregon. She attended school in Cottage Grove, where she met the love of her life and married Harold Godard on December 10, 1949.
Florence is survived by her husband Harold of 65 years; sister Ellen Kelly of Cottage Grove, Oregon. Together they had five children, son Ken Godard and wife Theresa of Roseburg, daughter Kathy Floyd and husband Jim of Bend, daughter Karyl Clune and husband Phil of Roseburg, daughter Kris Baird and husband Cecil of Salem, and son Kevin Godard of Bend.
Flo was a loving and involved grandmother to 14 grandchildren, Maggie and Carli Godard, Heather, Matthew, Garett, Jason Floyd, Bryan, Brent, Kyndra Clune, Jennifer, Julie, and Jodie Baird, and Miranda and Jakub Godard. Flo was also a great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren. She loved and adored her family above all else.
Flo lived a very active, outgoing life, playing basketball, softball, ping-pong and golf. Slow pitch softball was her favorite, where she was one terrific pitcher. She loved to travel, family reunions, being outdoors, gardening, camping, bike riding, fishing, and playing with her children and grandchildren. Her other hobbies included board games with family and crocheting blankets and slippers. Flo was an amazing baker and won numerous County Fair blue ribbons for her famous breads and buns. Flo's extracurricular activities were teaching Sunday School for many years and being a reader for the S.M.A.R.T Program.
Florence leaves behind a legacy of love and family traditions that are carried on by her children and grandchildren for future generations.
