Gail Elizabeth (Jones) Bridwell May 19, 1924 – March 10, 2019
Born in San Francisco CA to Harold & Margaret Jones. The first born of twins, Gail, her sister Helen and brothers Jack and Harold Jr. were raised on Chestnut Street in San Carlos CA. A 1942 graduate of Sequoia High School. Despite a hearing impairment, Gail was an avid lover of music and an excellent dancer. Gail commuted daily to SF on the trains, which she loved so much. She graduated from Dental Nurses Training School in San Francisco and went on to become a surgical assistant at Dibble Hospital in Menlo Park, CA. In 1946, Gail married her high school sweetheart Warren Bridwell. Raising three boys, Gregory, Mark, and Kurt in Saratoga CA till the late '50s. It was then that the family relocated to a small farm in San Martin CA. Busy with her boys, 4-H, and school functions. Gail and her Husband had a lot of friends and an active social life. In 1961, a daughter Dawn was born. Shortly thereafter, Gail started working for The Morgan Hill Times as a staff writer and columnist. Her social column “On The Go With Gail” was a regular piece in the paper. It always ended with “And a good time was had by all” And that was certainly true. Gail was always a positive, gentle, smiling lady. Gracious and a “class act”. She loved to entertain and was the “Hostess with Mostess”. In 1967, The family bought a beautiful home in Morgan Hill, CA. Gail was awarded Morgan Hill's Woman of the Year. Past president of the California Women in Chambers of Commerce and American Federation of Republican Women. Which led her to her involvement with politics and the beginning of her entrepreneurial career as Gail Bridwell Public Relations. Eventually, this led her to Wheeler Hospital in Gilroy CA where she became Foundations Director. Also, Past President of The Lions Club and many other community organizations. Gail was creative, active and always “on the go”. An excellent cook and a witty sense of humor. In 1990, Gail and Warren relocated to Roseburg OR to retire. She loved to garden and babysit her grandkids. When Warren passed in 1993, Gail sold the ranch and moved to her beloved Linus Oaks, where she resided for 20 years. At 89 years old Gail met and fell for a new guy, Jim. They were truly soulmates until Jim's passing in 2017. Gail was an amazing woman who led an incredible life. She will be sorely missed.

Gail is survived by her twin sister Helen, Her children Greg (Pam) Kurt (Norma) Dawn (Bob). Grandchildren, Robin, Randy, David, Michael, Neil, Reilly and Joel. Five great-grandchildren, Warren, Elin, Morgan, Emmett, and Ellie. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity
