Garrett Wayne Huffman

Age 64, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015, in Roseburg, Oregon. He was born December 3, 1950, in Fairfield, California, to parents Nolan and Geraline Huffman. He married Tracy Lynn Huffman on March 22, 1986, in Roseburg, Oregon.
Garrett served in Vietnam. He worked in the tire industry until his retirement. He was married to his wife Tracy for 29 years, and they had three children together. He also had a daughter from a previous marriage. He liked shooting pool, fishing, cars, and playing in the mud in his jeep. One of his fondest memories was helping his brother in law paint the Scoreboard Tavern and leaving looking like a blue Smurf. His dog Taz was his best buddy. His family loves him and will miss him dearly.
He was a part of Dirty Dicks pool team and Scoreboard Pool team.
He is preceded in death by parents Geraline Huffman and Nolan Huffman. He is survived by his wife Tracy Lynn Huffman; son Tyler Nolan Huffman; daughters Christine Short, Jessica Rose Cook and Katherine Mazie Huffman; and brothers Kevin Potter and Fred Potter; sisters Eilleen Payton, Debra Sims and Charlotte Daly; grandchildren Hunter and Nakitta Cook; brother in-law Dennis Archer; sister in-law Shannon Archer; Son in-law Jeffrey Cook; And his dog Taz and extended family and friends
Funeral Services will be held at the VA National Cemetery at 2p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015. There will be a potluck Celebration of Life at Singleton Park following the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Diabetes Association. Wilson's Chapel of the Roses is handling the arrangements.
