Glenn Russell

July 9, 1932 — July 19, 2014

Glenn Truman Russell 82 of Myrtle Creek, Oregon went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Irene Russell and his two daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn and Gary Combs and Glennice Russell, together with 15 grandchildren and great grandchildren and his sister, Shirley Warren, many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Esther Russell, brother Carliss Russell and granddaughter, Stacie Holcomb.

He was a Missionary Baptist preacher and pastor for 61 years. He attended California Missionary Baptist Institute where he obtained his Doctorate in Theology. He pastored the Antioch Mission Baptist Church in Myrtle Creek until 2008 when he retired due to health reasons. Glenn was a woodcarver, artist, and gardener. He loved hunting and fishing with his family. He always knew where the fish were biting. His greatest joy came from studying the Bible and teaching God's word.

Services will be held at the Missionary Baptist Church, 5599 N. Umpqua Highway, Roseburg on July 23 at 2:00 pm
