Grant Wilson

Grant Wilson of Oakland, Oregon passed away on Monday, 1/24/2011 in Springfield, Oregon, 8 years to the day that his wife of 52 years, Genevieve passed away. He was born May 11, 1921 in Boggs, W. Virginia to Henry and Belle (Holbrook) Wilson. He served in the Army during WWII. Grant worked for Georgia Pacific for 18 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing horseshoes and walking his dog, Marty, through the Oakland curves. Grant is survived by his children, Marvin Wilson of Oakland, Bonnie Matteson of Eugene, Rodney Wilson of Myrtle Creek, Rhonda Saracco of Sutherlin, Wesley Wilson of Hubbard and Lisa Camp of Roseburg along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters. In addition to his family and acquaintances he will be greatly missed by his close friend, Arlie Cook. Funeral Service will be Saturday 1/29/2011 at 10 AM at the Neighborhood Church of Christ in Sutherlin with burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Oakland, Oregon. Visitation will be from 9 AM until service time at the church.
