Gregory Donald Kuyper

Gregory Donald Kuyper, 69 born December 7th, 1951 to Donald and Ione Kuyper at Fort  Campbell Kentucky, and died at home with his wife at his side on February 13, 2021, from ongoing lung issues.
Greg was a retired army veteran and served in Panama, Alaska, Hawaii, and Virginia. After retiring from the army, he held various contractor security positions in the Williamsburg  Virginia area. Then after 18 years with his first wife Sadie and then caring for and the death of second wife Patty of cancer he retired and decided to move back home to Oregon where he met and married Kathy on Valentine’s Day two years ago.
Greg was a good husband, stepfather, grandfather, and loved to spend time at the Oregon and  Virginia beaches and in the mountains. When younger, Greg loved to spend time with the church groups, hike the beach or hills, camp, hunt the woods of Southern Oregon, work on cars  (had to, to keep them going), and travel Western Oregon. But most of all for his whole life he loved to spend time with family, friends, and drinking coffee.
Greg is preceded in death by his parents (Don and Ione), wife Sadie, wife Patty, and many grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Greg is survived by his current wife Kathy Kuyper, four siblings and spouses (Joyce & Larry Newcomer, Bill & Diana, Tim & Pixie, and Betsy & Craig Lewis), and a  stepdaughter Karen Salyer West, 6 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Friday, March 5th, 2021 at 10 am at the Roseburg Oregon VA covered pavilion and officiated by Sabin Gautreau and songs by Angie Yow. Organized through
