Harold Leon Dobbs

Harold Leon Dobbs, 80 of Glide, Oregon passed away on May 11, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Cherokee County, Kansas on December 1, 1932 and came to Oregon when he was 12 to live with his uncle in Cottage Grove. Harold met his wife Carol, of nearly 61 years, in Yoncalla, Oregon in 1950 and moved to Twin Falls, Idaho until Joining the US Army during the Korean War. He remained active in the reserves for 6 years. Harold and Carol moved back to Oregon and built their home on Little River in Glide. Survivors include his wife Carol; sister Beverly and brother Bert Dobbs Jr (J.R.); two special nephews and nieces Tom, Vicky, Michael and Tammy Rondeau and many other nieces and nephews; his special friend for over 50 years Deb Ferren. He loved each and everyone very much. Harold was a talented and creative builder, craftsman, hunter and enjoyed gadgets and gizmos. He also looked forward to his occasional trip to Seven Feathers to play the penny Milk Money Machines. Those who wish may pay their respects on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm and on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. Graveside services with military honors will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 at 3:00 pm within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens.
