Gene Harold Graf, 80, of Harbor, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017.
He was born June 27, 1936, the oldest of four children, in Blue Ball Township, Logan County, North Dakota.
Gene moved to California at a young age, where he lived along the Sacramento River.
After graduating from high school, in California, he joined the U.S. Army.
Gene worked as a mechanic, welder and fabricator. He could fix anything and often helped family and friends. Gene loved tinkering and thinking about how to solve mechanical problems. A unique soul, Gene enjoyed visiting. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and business acquaintances.
Gene is survived by his wife Colleen; son David Graf of Sacramento; daughter Heidi Graf Green of Sacramento; grandsons Christian and Ryan; stepson Dana (Karen) Smotherman; and grandsons Scott and Bradley. Gene is also survived by his sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
No service is planned, as Gene requested. His ashes were scattered on the Pacific Ocean outside his home waters, along the beach he loved.
