Harvey F Reynolds
March 7, 1915 to January 1, 2016
Harvey always talked about wanting to live to be 100, and he got his wish. He passed away just shy of 101 years old of natural causes. Born in Zephyrhills, Florida, the 13th of 14 children to James and Adaline Reynolds. He lived in Florida until early 1957 when he moved to take a job in California. There he met and married his wife Eva in 1959. Their son Jim was born in 1960 and they bought their first home and settled into Costa Mesa. They lived there until 1977 when Harvey retired from ITT Jabsco and they made the move to Glide, Oregon.
Harvey enjoyed fishing, woodworking and tending to his very large garden. He was known for always sending home visitors to the house, home with something from the yard, a bag of vegetables or berries and sometimes a bouquet of his beautiful roses.
Harvey was predeceased by his wife Eva in 2012 and is and is now reunited with her in Heaven. Both were members of the North Umpqua Bible Fellowship.
Harvey is survived by his son Jim (Barbara), grandchildren Samantha and Jessica, and great grandson Ayden. He was laid to rest on January 8th in a private service.
