Mrs. Helen Hammock passed away on February 1, 2016 at the age of 94. Helen was born in Deary, Idaho on November 7, 1921 to Wallace and Helen Davis. She graduated from Modesto High School in 1939 and obtained her Associates Degree in 1941 from Modesto Jr. College. Helen married Wesley Hammock in 1947 and in 1973, they moved to Roseburg. She was a member of the Roseburg Country Club and the Buckaroos Square Dance Club. She was also a long time member of the First Christian Church of Roseburg. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Wesley, after 58 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her parents; her daughter, Judith; her sister, Elaine; and her brothers Homer, Clarence, William and Robert. Helen is survived by her son Richard (Mary) Hammock; son-in-law Noe Flores; grandchildren Tiffany (Nick) Fodor, Lisa Hammock, Becky (Josh) Mendoza and Sarah (Ryan) Scheidler; great-grandchildren Valora Fodor, Ruby and Lucas Mendoza, Abby and Emma Dorado and Isaac Scheidler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her dear friends Sam and Kathy Nathanson. A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Christian Church of Roseburg, Saturday, April 2nd at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity organization.
