Helen F. Long

HELEN F. LONG 94, of Roseburg, Oregon passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2009 at her home on NW Riverfront Drive. She was born May 14, 1914 in Ozark, Missouri to Elmer and Shrida Woods. Helen was reared in the small farming community of Buffalo, Missouri. Upon completing her formal education, she emigrated to Denver, Colorado. In 1951 she relocated to Roseburg, Oregon and three years later married J.V. Long, a prominent Roseburg attorney. Helen is survived by her brother Donald Woods, Sr. of Springfield, Missouri; other members include Brent Long and his wife Sue of Roseburg and their three children Todd Long and Debbie Tucker both of Roseburg and Michael Long of Eugene; Bruce Long and his wife Judy of Gainesville, Florida and their two children Brion Long and Angela Long also of Gainesville, Florida, and five great grandchildren who reside in Roseburg. Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 15, 2009 at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. Private interment will follow within the grounds of Roseburg Memorial Gardens.Wilson's Chapel of the Roses is in charge of arrangements.
