Ila Mae Howard, 95, of Roseburg, OR and formerly Sacramento, California, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 28, 2017 at Linus Oakes Retirement Village. She was an 18 year resident of Linus Oakes.
She was born June 5, 1921 in Keosauqua, Iowa to John F. Keller and Lena (Arnold) Keller and graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1938. She married Richard E. Howard on September 20, 1941. Living most of her married years in Sacramento, CA.
After moving to Roseburg she became an active member of Wellspring Church of Roseburg. She also enjoyed and participated as a member of Daughter of American Revolution organization and Red Hat Ladies society.
She is survived by: two sons, Norman & Jody Howard of Houston, Texas and Gary & Renee Howard of Roseburg, OR; and two daughters Leta & Charles Tarrell of Everett, Washington and Shirley & Tim Smith of Roseburg, OR; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. All will miss her cheery smile.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents and siblings; and a daughter in law.
Memorial services will be 2:00pm, February 11, 2017 at Linus Oakes Retirement Village with Pastor Mike Ruyle officiating. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon at a later date.
