Ione Mae Lawrence Keatley Swift died September 2, 2016.
This is my Life:
"I was born August 20, 1919 in Chehalis, WA to Walter and Annie (Tauscher) Lawrence.
I was raised on the family ranch and graduated from Chehalis High School in 1939. Then went to cosmetology college and graduated in Tacoma, WA.
I worked in the Bremerton Navy yard during the second World War as a messenger.
I married Allen Keatley in 1942 and moved to Mt. Vernon, WA.
My son, Larry, was born in 1947 in Roseburg, OR. Soon after that we moved to Riddle, then Tri City, OR, where Allen worked as a timber cruiser for a large timber company.
Jeri, my daughter, was born in Bremerton, WA in 1949.
I then bought the Bob-an-Ette beauty Salon in Riddle, OR, where I worked until my divorce from Allen Keatley.
A few years later, 1965, I married Charles Swift from Palm Springs and moved there."
Ione stayed in the desert after her divorce from Charles Swift and lived on her own. She had many wonderful neighbors and friends. She loved caring for her flowers and walking her dogs.
Ione was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Gerald and sister, Marjorie. She is survived by her son, Larry (Eila) Keatley, granddaughter, Nina, in Fort Bragg, CA and daughter, Jeri (Steve) in Tiller, OR.
