Jacquelin Margaret Fleming

Jacquelin (Jackie) Margaret Fleming, age 83, born Dec. 24, 1939, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 30, 2022. Jackie graduated from Oakland High School in 1958. She met and married Leslie Fleming, and together they raised three children and numerous foster kids.

She volunteered as an aide to numerous teachers in the Oakland School District until she was hired by the schools to help teachers with playground duty. She met lots of amazing kids and people over the years. She made a difference in everyone’s lives that she touched.

She is survived by three children, daughter Penny of Oakland, sons Leslie of Redding, California, and Virgil of Oakland, three grandchildren, grandsons Brian and Charlie Button, and granddaughter April Button as well as 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Jackie is also survived by three siblings, sister Barbara of Springfield, Virginia, brother Orvill of Granite Falls, Washington, and sister Dana of Yakima, Washington.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leslie and both of her parents.
