James Henry Kemp, age 80, and 30 year resident of Roseburg, Oregon passed away on Tuesday December 2, 2014. James was born on January 6, 1934 in Roswell, New Mexico, to Henry and Edna Kemp. He served 20 years in the Air Force as a Medic, and worked at Folsom Prison as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer for 13 years before retiring. James is survived by his wife of 30 years Judy Kemp, sons; James H. Kemp, Charles Kemp, Leroy Kemp, and Steve (Cindy) Kemp, all of California, stepdaughter; Kathy (Don) Hardy of Vancouver, Washington, stepson; Erik (Diane) Laursen of Corvallis, Oregon, brothers; Gene (Carolyn) Kemp of Roseburg, Oregon, niece; Kerry Jo Edwards and family, six grandchildren and two nieces. A Graveside Service will be held at Roseburg Memorial Gardens at a later date.
