James "J.D." David Michael
James "J.D." David Michael of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, went home to be with the lord on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023. He was born on June 19, 1948, in Cassville, Missouri.
J.D. worked for many years as a log truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time out in the woods. Anyone that hunted with him said he was an eagle eye, and you could never outfish him.
J.D. was not only a good man who loved his wife, kids and family, he was also a good, loving, giving, and loyal friend. He would give you the shirt off his back. He was always there if you needed any kind of help. J.D. had a laugh that was infectious and a heart of gold, he was one of a kind and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sons; Mike Blankenship, Rick Blankenship, David (Mari) Michael, daughter; Raquel (Ted) Tucker, brothers; Phil Michael, Rick Michael, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
J.D. was preceded in death by his father; Vernon Michael and mother; Willadean Michael, brother; Gary Michael, sister; Kay Bakke.
A remembrance service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses in Roseburg, Oregon.
