James Mark Norris, affectionately known as Jim or Jimmy, passed away on September 17, 2024, at the age of 63. Born on October 31, 1960, in Honolulu, HI, Jim spent his final year in Winston, OR, where he was a cherished family member and friend.
Jim proudly served in the US Marine Corps, demonstrating his dedication to duty and country. Following his military service, he became a skilled Journeyman Electrician, earning the respect of his colleagues and clients alike.
A man of simple, yet profound loves, Jim often expressed his desire to be out fishing, embracing the tranquility of nature. His family was the center of his universe, and he left an indelible mark on their lives as a great father, wonderful grandfather, best friend and biggest fan. While he was known for his honesty, boldness, and loving spirit, his children remember him as someone who was there for them in the highs and the lows.
He is survived by his children, Dominic Norris (wife Alana) and Kacie Waddell (husband Chris); grandchildren, Nathaniul Waddell, Irah Waddell, Jacxon Waddell, Isaac Waddell and Allison Waddell; mother, Corinne Norris; and his brothers, John Norris III and Michael Norris, who will forever cherish his memory. Jim's legacy of love, strength, and unwavering support will continue to resonate with all those fortunate enough to have known him.
A memorial service will be held at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses in Roseburg, OR on September 30th, 2024 at 11am.
