Janice Ellen Martin (Parker)

Janice "Jan" Martin, age 73, of Oakland, Oregon, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 6, 2014. She was born on July 21, 1941 in Oakland, California to John and Marjorie Parker. Jan graduated High School with her GED and worked as a Banker and a Farmer. She was a member of DAR (Daughters of the Revolutionary War), she loved to scrapbook, cross stitch, and do cross word puzzles, she was a master gardener and she enjoyed genealogy. Janice is survived by her son; Joe (Christine) Martin, daughters; Dolores "Dee" (George) Lawson, Yvonne Silveira, Denise (Condie) Valenzuela and Judy Trapp; 10 grandkids; Melissa (Justin) Thompson, Ryan Silveira, Jessica Valenzuela, Mickey Petrini, Megan Trapp, Clay (Anna) Trapp, Isreilla Martin, AJ Martin, Naveh Martin and Joey Martin, great grandkids; Kaylee Thompson, Eli Thompson, and Christopher Trapp, niece; Lisa Mariles, great nieces and nephew; Analize, Jocelyn and Benjamin. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Joseph Leroy Martin. A memorial service will be held at Sutherlin Chapel of the Roses on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:00 am Father Campos to officiate. A reception will follow at the family home.
